WHAT'S GOING ON IN ROTARY AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD - February 1, 2024

    PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

It’s hard to believe that the month of January is gone!  We are heading into the light
with longer days in February and hopefully the mild weather continuing. The amended
meeting schedule with two social events is successful - Fun and Fellowship at the
Sandtrap, and Bacchus Lounge for Taco Tuesdays, will continue through February.
Thank you to John and Fran Boot for inviting guests to attend. It was great to see past
Members again and I would ask everyone to take the opportunity and invite friends,
family and past members to join us February 13th and 27th. The More the Merrier!

Thank you to everyone for supporting Gifts of Life International by ordering Chocolate
Hearts, and the ISC Committee for approving a donation of $1,000 to this very
     worthwhile cause.

Once again Rotary and the great things that we do locally and internationally were
promoted in the Community. Thank you Bill French for the great articles in our local
newspapers, and Chris Hatch and Jeannie Manning for promoting our support of the
     Farmworkers HUB on social media.

I hope you all have a great February and Happy Valentines Day.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
I have been tasked with arranging transportation to and from our weekly meetings, for our Youth Exchange student, Josephine Bonjean, for the month of February.
Josephine attends Laura Secord School in St. Catharines.

Many Rotarians escape some or all of the winter, myself included, and this leaves our pool of volunteer drivers diminished. If you are able to help out, it would be greatly appreciated. It is a wonderful opportunity to get to know Jo a little better, and for her to get to know you!

YIR,
Jeannie Manning
